Fibre Optic Chandeliers and Pendants
A fibre optic chandelier suspends dozens or hundreds of individually lit strands from a single ceiling point. Each strand ends in a crystal or a clean-cut tip, and every one of them is lit by a single LED illuminator sitting out of sight above the ceiling. The result is a feature that appears to float, with no lamps, no wiring and no heat anywhere in the visible piece.
LightEFX supplies the Orquestra, Grain, Infinito, NYX and Spectra pendants. All are made to order, so the drop length, strand count and colour behaviour are set to the space rather than chosen from a fixed catalogue size.
Why fibre optic for a suspended feature
One light source, no maintenance at height
Every strand is fed from a single LED illuminator that can be reached from the ceiling void. Nothing needs to be serviced at the bottom of the drop, which matters in a stairwell, a void or a double-height atrium.
No heat, no current in the piece
The fibre carries light, not electricity. The suspended element stays cool to touch and carries no current, which is what allows these pieces to be installed over stairwells, baths, spas and pool voids.
Colour across the whole piece at once
Change the illuminator and every strand changes together. RGB and tuneable white illuminators give colour scenes, slow fades and twinkle across the full drop, controllable by remote or by DMX from a building automation system.
Where these are installed
Entry voids and stairwells, hotel and restaurant interiors, retail and showroom ceilings, and double-height residential living spaces. Anywhere the ceiling is high enough that a conventional chandelier becomes a maintenance problem, and anywhere the feature needs to change colour with the room.
Building a custom piece
Designers and fabricators building a one-off feature can source the components directly. Side-emitting cable with a wire tension core supports long suspended runs up to 30 metres and carries crystal fittings along its length. Bare fibre gives the clean point-of-light drop, sold by the metre so each strand can be cut to its own length. Add crystal ball fittings and an LED illuminator sized to the strand count.
